tokkuri (300 ml)
Sake literally meaning “alcoholic beverage”, is better defined in Japan as nihonshu, “Japanese alcohol”. On everybody’s table since the Nara period, it can be served hot or cold and tokkuri, 德利, is the Japanese flask used to serve it. This flask holds about 300 ml of sake, providing about two small dinner servings.
